About Us

The Blue Earth Area School District proudly serves students from the communities of Blue Earth, Frost, Winnebago, Delavan, and Elmore with a mission to empower students to reach their full potential "Excellence for All." The district focuses on the following core values: Be respectful; Be responsible; Be safe; Be excellent!

The district provides every student in Grades K-2 with an iPad in the classroom and every student in Grades 3-12 with a Chromebook. This one-to-one access ensures students will excel as digital learners in a technology-driven world.

Blue Earth Area offers a wide variety of academic and advanced placement courses as well as strong music programs, art, drama, agri-science, and sports activities.

The caring and energetic staff members stress the importance of achievement in basic skills, recognize individual differences in students, emphasize the importance of student self-concept, and are committed to the personal development of each student.

All school buildings are climate controlled, well-maintained, and handicapped accessible. Guidance counselors, psychologists, and specialists are available daily to serve students' needs.

Our district offers early childhood and family education activities, hosts pre-school and childcare facilities, before and after school-age care, Adult Basic Education classes, and community education and recreation opportunities for our students and the community as a whole.
