Welcome to my class!

I have always loved literature and my passion is all aspects of Language Arts. I obtained my BA in Phoenix, AZ from Ottawa University and am on my way toward my MS at SMSU. I love to teach and am lucky enough to teach my passion. I teach five English courses at BEAHS: College Now Literature 120, Humanities, American Literature, English Fundamentals, and English 10. My goal as a teacher is to help students find a love for literature and learning, to help them grow in their knowledge, and help them reach their own goals for a bright future. I am the BEA National Honor Society Advisor and the coach for the BEA Speech Team.

In my personal time, I am the proud mother of two teenage boys, one who attends school at BEAHS! We have settled into Minnesota as our home and my older son is starting on his college journey this year. I grew up in Massachusetts, spent twenty years in Arizona, but then decided to move here to be closer to my family. I love long distance running and traveling, but more often than not, I will be found with my nose in a book or a pen in my hand!
