Welcome to my class!

I have always loved literature and my passion is all aspects of Language Arts. I obtained my BA in Phoenix, AZ from Ottawa University and am on my way toward my MS at SMSU. I love to teach and am lucky enough to teach my passion. I teach five English courses at BEAHS: College Now Literature 120, Humanities, American Literature, English Fundamentals, and English 10. My goal as a teacher is to help students find a love for literature and learning, to help them grow in their knowledge, and help them reach their own goals for a bright future. I am the BEA National Honor Society Advisor and the coach for the BEA Speech Team.

In my personal time, I am the proud mother of two teenage boys who attend school at BEAHS! We have settled into Minnesota as our home and my older son will graduate this year. I grew up in Massachusetts, spent twenty years in Arizona, but then decided to move here to be closer to my family. I love long distance running, but more often than not, I will be found with my nose in a book or a pen in my hand!
